Rodent Control in Central Maine
When Maine nights turn cold, mice and rats move indoors looking for warmth and food. A few droppings in a cabinet can quickly become chewed wiring, contaminated pantry goods and scratching in the walls. Rocky Shore Pest Services provides hands-on rodent control for homes and businesses from our base in Richmond, serving Central Maine and the Midcoast. We find where rodents are getting in, control the activity you have now, and give you practical recommendations to keep them out. Same-day service is available when scheduling allows.
Signs you have mice or rodents
- Droppings in cabinets, drawers, basements or along walls
- Scratching or scurrying sounds in walls or ceilings, especially at night
- Chewed food packaging, insulation or wiring
- Nesting material made of shredded paper, fabric or insulation
- Grease marks or rub marks along baseboards and entry gaps
Inspect
We walk the inside and outside of the building looking for active runways, droppings, nesting areas and the gaps rodents use to get in — around utility lines, foundations, garage doors, vents and sill plates. You'll get a clear explanation of what we found and what we recommend.
Treat
We use targeted trapping and professional rodent control products placed where activity is happening, keeping safety for children and pets in mind. Follow-up visits make sure activity is dropping and adjustments are made where needed.
Prevent
Lasting control means fewer ways in and fewer reasons to stay. We point out entry points to seal, food and storage changes that help, and clutter or harborage areas that attract rodents.
